What Is
Composite Bonding?

Composite bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure that can easily fix chips, gaps, and any other imperfections in your smile. Overall it is a less invasive treatment than dental crowns or veneers. If you are interested in composite bonding, contact us at Droitwich Dental Studio, we are more than happy to help.

Composite Bonding Treatment Process

  1. First, you will choose a colour from a line of composite resins which will look very similar to the colour of your tooth. The dentist will reference the chart to be sure, then they will apply a bonding agent and create a rough surface on the tooth. Then they proceed to bond the composite resin to your existing tooth. The liquid texture will be scratchy which will allow the composite to stick easily.
  2. Afterwards, our dentist will add composite resin to the area, so that we can create a mould out of it before drying it out and brushing some UV Light.
  3. Within one to two appointments following your online consultation appointment and full case assessment meeting, you smile. We have set up this process to be as easy and painless as possible so you can receive the treatment you want without having to attend several appointments.

Benefits of Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is a beneficial dental treatment for several reasons:

Improved Aesthetics: Composite bonding can transform the appearance of teeth by fixing minor cosmetic issues such as chips, gaps, stains, and misshapen teeth. The composite resin material is customisable, allowing for a natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing result that enhances the overall appearance of the teeth.

☑️ Minimally Invasive: Composite bonding is a conservative treatment that requires minimal removal of the tooth enamel compared to other dental procedures, such as veneers or crowns. This means that more of the natural tooth structure is preserved, making it a less invasive option for improving the appearance of teeth.

☑️ Quick and Convenient: Composite bonding can typically be completed in just one visit to the dentist’s office, depending on the complexity of the case. This makes it a convenient option for patients who want to achieve a more attractive smile without multiple appointments or lengthy treatment timelines.

☑️ Cost-Effective: Compared to other cosmetic dental treatments, such as veneers or crowns, composite bonding is generally more cost-effective. It can provide significant improvements in the appearance of teeth at a more affordable price point, making it accessible to a wider range of patients.

☑️ Versatility: Composite bonding can be used to address a variety of cosmetic issues, including chips, gaps, stains, misshapen teeth, and more. It can be applied to one tooth or multiple teeth, providing versatility in addressing different aesthetic concerns.

☑️ Reversible: Unlike other dental procedures that may require irreversible removal of tooth enamel, composite bonding is a reversible treatment. If desired, the composite material can be removed and replaced in the future without causing permanent damage to the teeth.
