Braces are a method of moving teeth, to improve the function of cleaning, eating and their appearance. Teeth that are poorly positioned can be problematic as they can be prone to gum disease and tooth decay. Furthermore, imbalances in the bite can cause long term damage to certain teeth and make eating difficult.
What Are
Fixed braces?
Fixed braces involve brackets and wires (either metal or tooth-coloured) being attached to your teeth to improve their position and alignment. It is a traditional technique with teeth moving according to the wire that is placed around them. This wire is normally changed every 8 weeks.
